The Vice President of Marketing and Communications fulfills the following responsibilities in serving our class:
· Timely marketing and communication regarding MBAA activities
· Implementing the design and maintenance of the MBAA website
· Facilitating access to and upholding standards for club websites
· Overseeing the publication and posting of MBAA meeting notes
To do so effectively, one requires not only technical and communication skills, but also creativity and a growth mindset. I bring these to the position, but also offer the experience to dive into the role without training, new ideas to promote transparency, and the artistic talent to breathe new life into MBAA communications. As your VP, I pledge to not only execute, but also improve the duties of this position in three different ways:
Experience – My career in digital marketing has prepared me with the technical skill to improve upon our class’ digital presence. As a first-year track representative, I have insight into how the MBAA is managed and the processes necessary for success.
Transparency – Under my purview, the weekly MBAA newsletter will include a new section, “The MBAA Meeting Notes.” This rotating features with include both a summary and a click-through link to the weekly MBAA meeting minutes, as well as a section for your feedback.
Creativity – I offer my vision and digital voice to the MBAA newsletter and general communications. I will assist clubs in documenting events and creating media-rich websites and marketing materials.
